SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Recruitment – 2025

The Staff Selection Commission will hold an Open Competitive Computer-Based Examination for direct recruitment to the posts of Stenographer ‘C’ (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’) in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations.

The details of the essential qualification, number of vacancies, age limit, paper pattern and fee structure are given below:-

Post:- Stenographer (Grade C & D)

Minimum Essential Qualification:- Candidates must have passed 12^th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University as on or before the cut-off date i.e. 01.08.2025.

Age Limit:-

For Grade C – The age of the candidate must be 18-30 years as on 01-08-2025 (i.e., candidates born not before 02-08-1995 and not later than 01-08-2007).

For Grade D – The age of the candidate must be 18-27 years as on 01-08-2025 (i.e., candidates born not before 02-08-1998 and not later than 01-08-2007).

Selection Procedure:- 2 phases – Computer-based Examination and Skill Test.
