The Indian Army Has Published The Notification for Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 28th Course (April 2022) for Recruiting Young Male & Female Law Graduates In its Judge Advocate General Branch.
Salary / Pay Scale for Candidates Selected Through JAG Entry in Indian Army
Stipend of Rs. 56,100/- Per Month will be payable to Gentlemen or Lady Cadets selected through JAG Entry in Indian Army during the entire duration of training in Service academies i.e. during training period at OTA.
Gentlemen or Lady Cadets, after successfully completion of training will be commissioned in Indian Army as Lieutenant in the Pay Scale of Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500/-
They will also be entitled for various allowances such as Military Service Pay (MSP) (Rs. 15,000/- Per Month), Dearness Allowance, Para Allowance Project Allowance, Uniform Allowance etc.
Eligibility Criteria / Educational Qualification for Indian Army JAG Entry
For Applying To Indian Army JAG Entry, Candidate Must Have Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2 examination).
The candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with Bar Council of India/State.
Candidate should be from a College / University recognized by Bar Council of India.
Age Limit for Indian Army JAG Entry
For Appearing in Indian Army JAG Entry, Candidate Must Be Between 21 to 27 years of As.
For 28th Course (April 2022) of JAG Entry in Indian Army, The Age Will Be Calculated as on 01 Jan 2022. (i.e Candidate Must Be Born not earlier than 02 Jan 1995 and not later than 01 Jan 2001; both dates inclusive).
Selection Process for Indian Army JAG Entry
The selection procedure for JAG Entry in Indian Army is as follows:-
- Shortlisting of Applications for SSB Interview.
- SSB Interview of Shortlisting Candidates at Selection Centres, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (PB).
- Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
