Stenographer Grade ‘C & D’

They have to transcribe the details at the speed of 100 word per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 word per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’.

The SSC Stenographer Examination is conducted in 2 stages. These two stages include Computer-Based Tests and a Skill Test. The Computer-Based Tests is an objective test and will be of 200 marks. The skill test will be qualifying in nature

SSC Stenographer exam pattern contains the examination mode, total number of questions, marking scheme etc. There are two stages of written exams and both of them are commenced online. Only qualified aspirants of the first stage will be called for the second stage of the examis skill test.

The level of stress one has really depends on two things: the amount of experience the stenographer has, and what kind of work the stenographer is stenographying (not a word). On average, this isn’t the most stressful job in the world, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t without its less-than-stellar days.

Learning steno (machine shorthand) is difficult in and of itself, not to mention that the required speed necessary to graduate the program is 225 words per minute. For some students, the steno language just doesn’t make sense to them. Others understand it, but just can’t get the speed they need.
