Selection Process

The selection process of Clerk consists of 2 phases (preliminary and mains) online MCQ Exam. The candidates must qualify each of them to go on to the next phase. The important steps of the Bank Clerk Recruitment Procedure are as follows:

Online Preliminary Examination:

Sufficient number of candidates in each category is shortlisted by SBI depending upon the requirements for Online Main Examination

Online Mains Examination:

Candidates need to qualify each section as well as the overall cut-off in the main exam to be eligible for the Final Selection.

Final Result:

The Final result is declared on the basis of merit list in Clerk Mains Exam.

Provisional Allotment:

The provisional allotment of the eligible candidate is released on the official website. Banks to the candidates on the basis of the preferences they have made at the time of the online registration. its role in the selection process till the provisional selection to different banks. Further, the responsibility to inform the qualified candidates about their joining dates and procedure lies with the respective banks.

Eligibility

IBPS decides the eligibility criteria for the post of Clerk. The institute has elaborated different eligibility conditions as per the nationality selected by candidate.

Candidates must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a University recognized by Government of India.
Candidate must know to speak, read and write the language of the particular state that they are applying for.

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION PATTERN (ONLINE)

Subsisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be supervised online. This test promising of 1 hour period dwelled of 3 Sections as follows. Each test will have a separate time period as mentioned below.

A penalty for every incorrect answer will be marked in the Objective Tests of both Preliminary and Mains exams. Every wrong answer will be penalized by deducting 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question. There will be no penalty for leaving a question blank, i.e. in case no answer is marked by the candidate.

“Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – The candidates provisionally selected from the online examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned. Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified.”
