Bank Probationary Officer
Bank Probationary Officer (PO) can reach up to the level of Chairman of a bank. You will be surprised to know that a number of heads of PSBs have started their career as a PO. Normally, the probation period is of two years in which the officer is exposed to different types of bank-related work. There are frequent transfers during the probation period. Once the probation period is over, the officer is appointed as an Assistant Manager and gets his or her permanent posting. Nowadays, some banks are placing officers as Deputy Managers also, provided they pass the test conducted by the bank. After confirmation, officers can be posted in specific areas of banking.
IBPS released new exam pattern for IBPS PO Exam. The exam pattern will be similar for IBPS PO 2019 as well. There is separate sectional timing for each sections in preliminary exam. IBPS PO 2019 Exam will be conducted in three phases: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview Process. It is mandatory for a candidate to clear each level of examination to get selected to the post of Probationary Officer in multiple Public Sector Banks.

After qualified Mains online examination then you appear for GD/PI (conducted by IBPS/SBI/RBI).
The marks obtained in the Mains examination & Personal Interview (PI) both considered for preparing the final merit list for selection. Thereafter all obtain marks considered for final merit list of that post.
IBPS PO Interview Process
Candidates who qualify the Mains Exam are finally called for the Interview Process by IBPS. The Interview Process will constitute of 100 mark.
Final Selection
The final selection of the candidate to the post of Probationary Officer will be made by taking into consideration the cumulative score of Mains Exam and the interview Process. The weightage of both these phases of examination will be in the ratio 80:20 respectively. A merit list will be generated after the Interview Process of IBPS PO 2019 Exam has been conducted. Candidates who make it to the list will be thus offered the joining letter by the Bank of their choice.
Eligibility Criteria
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Govt. All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/Board recognised by Govt of India/ approved by Govt Regulatory Bodies.
Age Limit
The candidate must be between the age of 20 and 30 years. Reservations and age relaxation are according to the Govt notification.

IBPS PO Interview Process
Candidates who qualify the Mains Exam are finally called for the Interview Process by IBPS. The Interview Process will constitute of 100 marks and the minimum marks for qualifying this round will be 40% which is reduced to 35% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories.
Penalty for Wrong Answers:
0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in both IBPS PO Preliminary Exam and IBPS PO Mains Exam. There will be no deduction of marks for a question left blank/unattempted by a candidate.
